We’d love to introduce to you Rachael: aka La Fuji Mama, Fuji Mama, Fujilicious. She’s a Nutella-holic from way back ; )
Here’s a little choco-nutty Q & A session so you can get to know her a little better…
1. How long have you been a Nutella-holic?
Possibly since I was born? I’m not sure! I grew up getting to eat it occasionally. My grandmother, who was a German immigrant, would occasionally have a jar of it at her house. So Nutella was something I was very familiar with, long before it started appearing in our supermarkets here in the US!
2. What is your first memory of Nutella?
I honestly can’t remember the first memory. But I have lots of memories of other people tasting it for the first time . . . yeah, I’m an enabler, what can I say?
3. What is your favorite way to eat Nutella?
Curled up in a comfortable chair, a good book, and a spoon. Other than that? A hot crepe loaded with nutella and sliced bananas. When I lived in Paris, there was a crepe stand near Le Centre Pompidou. If I got there at the right time of day, the man running the stand would be making the crepes fresh. Even better was the fact that he always loaded more Nutella on his crepes than any of the other stands. I still have yet to have a crepe that is better than his. Sigh.
4. What is your Nutella NO-NO?
Throwing away an “empty” Nutella jar without using your finger to fully rescue any remaining Nutella that might be hiding in the curves.
5. What would you do for a spoonful of Nutella ; ) ?
Spoonful? Only a spoonful? Hand over the jar or things will get ugly!
6. What is the best thing you’ve ever made with Nutella?
Pavlovas with Nutella Mousse – Delicate meringue pillows topped with rich silky Nutella mousse, and topped with thinly sliced bananas and dark chocolate curls.
